OPI Swatch Spam (4 polishes)

Hi there polish friends.  I hope your weekend is going well.  Today my mom and I went to a huge craft fair.  It was a ton of fun but boy did it wipe me out!  We also hit up the Halloween clearance at Target, watched some movies, went by TJMaxx, and ran some other errands.  It was definitely a busy day but we did get some Christmas shopping done :)

Today I have some more OPI swatch spam, all colors I have worn recently.  I'm trying to wear colors that I haven't worn before so I can get more of my "collection" swatched.  Let's take a look below.

OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui

First up, a bright ocean blue from the 2010 Spring Hong Kong Collection.  I've mentioned before that I'm trying to collect this entire collection because I lived in Hong Kong.  I only lived there for a year, during first grade, but still :)  The formula on this polish was great, I used two easy coats plus topcoat.

OPI Wooden Shoe Like To Know?

Next up, an offering from the 2012 Spring Holland Collection.  Wooden Shoe Like to Know is a medium chocolate brown polish with gold shimmer.  I've seen beautiful pictures of this polish with the gold shimmer but it didn't really stand out very well for me.  It did have a great formula though and I used two easy coats with topcoat.

OPI An Affair in Red Square

Next up, a very holiday-y red from the Fall 2007 Russian Collection, which I believe is part of the core collection now.  This red is a medium metallic and it really has that holiday feel to it.  Of course my husband picked this one out for me to wear haha!  I'm not sure what it is with men and red polishes but he will always choose reds.  Another great formula, two coats with topcoat.

OPI Did It On 'Em

Last up, a polish from the 2012 Nicki Minaj Collection.  I wore this polish the day before Halloween and my husband asked me the name and then looked at me like I had lost my mind :)  Did It On 'Em is a lime chartreuse green cream.  Not everyone will enjoy this color but I actually have quite a few greens like this in my collection and I really like them.  The formula really left something to be desired.  It was thin and watery and it needed three very careful coats to be opaque.  I do also have topcoat on in my swatches as well.  There are definitely better greens out there if you are looking for this color-Butter London Wellies and Essie The More the Merrier are my recommendations.

Do you have any of these polishes in your collection?  What do you think of them?

  1. I have the first 3 - and like you, Wooden Shoes does not show the gold shimmer on my when I get it on yet I see it in the bottle. I bought it when it was new and far as I know there was only the one run then of that shade. The Russia Collection was really popular when it came out and I adore Affair In Red Square. Because it was at the time limited, I think I bought 4 bottles of it - I have been a red-a holic for a long time - reds used to be my go to shade in the winter especially. I had Did It On 'Em as I bought the 3 (think it was 3, might have been 4) shades in that small collection but I don't look good in yellows or chartreuse on my nails so I ended up giving it to the then teen gal next door.
