Recent Nails-6/16 through 6/30

Hi everyone, happy Thursday.  So......I mentioned yesterday that it was my wedding anniversary and I think this one went down in the books as one of the most memorable.  A few weeks ago I wrote about my "shellfish incident" where my throat closed up after eating shrimp and calamari.  It's been a little time since then so my husband and I continued our tradition of eating crab legs for our anniversary dinner.  While he was cooking dinner, I noticed a hive on my chest, then another, and another.  Within ten minutes I was covered scalp to hip in hives.  So needless to say, the night was spent in a benedryll induced stupor, airing out our house, and cleaning the kitchen, our clothes, ourselves, and anything that could have came in contact with the crab.  Ooops.  I'm fine now and just thankful that I didn't eat any of it.  Every year we take a photo so I came up with the idea of having me in the photo with a stuffed animal lobster and a sad face, just so we can remember haha!

Today is a new day and I'll be cleaning and doing some relaxing.  Our friends are coming over for board games and s'mores and I'm looking forward to that.  Today I have my recent "nail of the days", a concept that I've done this entire month.  I like it for now so I think I will be continuing with it.

Monday, June 16-OPI I'm Indi-a Mood for Love with an accent of OPI Blushing Hour

Tuesday, June 17-One of my favorites this month, Essie Urban Jungle with OPI Save Me

Wednesday, June 18-OPI Funky Dunkey with Candy Lacquer Licorice Allsorts

Thursday, June 19-Zoya Yummy

Friday, June 20-OPI Shorts Story with OPI Rose of Light, OPI Matte topcoat

Saturday, June 21-I still maintain that my weekend nails are more tame than my work day nails ;)  This is OPI Kermit Me to Speak

Sunday, June 22-OPI Alpine Snow, I wore this before I used it as a base of my cake nails.

Monday, June 23-Admittedly this was the first time I've tried Sally Hansen Pacific Blue.  This is Pacific Blue with an accent nail of dots in China Glaze Highlight of My Summer, Barielle Topless in St Tropez, and Barielle Paradise in the Tropics.

Tuesday, June 24-Essie In the Cab-ana, Julie G Romeo, and Nicole by OPI Be Awesome

Wednesday, June 25-Whoa there, subdued nails.  I had something different on but it wouldn't dry so right before bed I slapped on OPI Glints of Glinda.  The design above stained my ring finger only, weird.

Thursday, June 26-OPI Elephantastic Pink.

Friday and Saturday, June 27 and 28-OPI Atomic Orange.  I was in Iowa so a camera pic had to do ;)

Sunday, June 29-Totally nakey nails.  I had some pretty dry cuticles the past few weeks so I spent the day putting so many creams and cuticle oils on while traveling back home.

Monday, June 30-Barielle Barefoot in Bermuda with OPI I'm Brazil Nuts Over You

There you have it, everything I've worn in the second half of the month.  If you guys like this kind of post, let me know and I'll continue :)

    1. Thank you, it's glad to hear positive feedback. Definitely dig out that bright blue, I forgot how fun it was until I wore it again :)

  3. Such fun colors! What polish remover do you use? I love glitter, but it's such a PITA to remove that I don't wear it often.

    1. On an everyday basis I just use pure acetone. For my glitters, I found one of those short wide polish remover jars, but instead of the foamy sponge inside, it has plastic bristles. I found it at CVS and it's the only way I remove glitter now :)

  6. I've enjoyed seeing all these manicures again. I bought OPI 'Elephantastic Pink' about the same time as you swatched it, and I'm delighted with it. It leans a bit more watermelon pink on me; your photo looks more like a bright rose, but it might be my screen. Either way, I'd call it a 'happy colour'. Your nails are lovely by the way, and thanks for all the swatches. Sorry to hear about the crab incident; glad you're feeling better now :)
