Barielle Vibrants-Swatches and Review

*Press Samples
Hi there everyone.  Today is a good day.  Yesterday I mentioned that I had to do a report from start to finish, something that usually takes at least two weeks for the smallest project, and by some kind of miracle I did it.  So, that is done, and my other project I've been slaving over for a month is done and gone.  I finally reached the end of the worst of it and to celebrate, I took the day off :)  Now I can finally get back to blogging and vlogging, back to my life, and I am super excited about that.

Today I have a long overdue collection from Barielle.  I've had these for awhile but I've just been completely swamped.  Ever since my first time trying Barielle, I have been really impressed.  This collection is a little up in the air for me, let's get right into it below.

Take Me Shopping- Ummm, yes please.  I would like someone to take me shopping ;)  First up, is a bright deep hot pink.  I have only recently tried colors like this and they really are fun.  The color is beautiful and vibrant and the formula is perfect.  I used two easy coats below.  Total win!

Money Talks-Okay, here's the biggest problem polish.  I wanted to love this polish because it's a dusty muted green mint but it had a problem formula.  The formula was thick and gloopy and it had a weird reaction to topcoat, changing color and becoming a murky yellower green.  This was my second swatch of this polish and as you can see, I couldn't get it to smooth out.  I used three coats below.

My City Apartment-Now let's recover from the last polish with another favorite of mine.  My City Apartment is a cool light grey.  I am a huge fan of grey polishes, I think they look so clean on the nail and so chic and I wish more companies would do grey polishes.  The color is perfect for Spring and the formula was great.  I used two coats below.

Designer's Shoe-Next up is what Barielle describes as a purple with a blush tone.  I think this is more of a periwinkle blue.  I believe this one is the other color changer, meaning that the color changed and became deeper when topcoat was applied.  I liked the color but didn't care for the fact that topcoat changed the color.  I used two coats below.

Fire Me Up-Next up, a bright fiery orange.  I have quickly become a fan of pretty much all orange polishes and I think they look really good with my fair skin.  I really liked this polish, it was crazy bright and I used two easy coats below.

First Class Ticket-Last up, is a pretty sky blue cream.  I could not for the life of me get the third swatch of this to load.  I really liked this color and I used two easy coats below.

So there you have it, the Barielle Vibrants Collection.  I think this collection is hit or miss.  My favorites are Take Me Shopping and My City Apartment.  What do you think of this collection?

*Polishes sent for review in exchange for my honest opinion.

  1. I quite like the majority of the shades in this collection but its a bummer to hear that some of them were difficult to work with or that applying top coat changed the color.
