Watermelon Nails-Three Designs

Three Manis Featuring Watermelon

Hi everyone, welcome to Thursday!  I'd like to start off with some good news.  I reached 125 followers so now it's time for my first giveaway featuring four Hard Candy polishes.  I will hopefully get that set up tonight and up tomorrow.

Continuing with fruit week, today is watermelon day.  Last night I created three different looks with different polishes featuring a theme of watermelon.  I went with a regular watermelon look, a watermelon ruffian, and a watermelon French manicure.

Full Watermelon Nails

First up is my regular watermelon look.  I started with three coats of Zoya Micky and then used OPI Gargantuan Green Grape layered on top.  For the rind I used OPI Jade is the New Black and a striping brush with Zoya Josie.  For the black seeds I used a dotting tool and Essie Licorice.

Watermelon Ruffian

Next up is my watermelon ruffian.  I started with two coats of Essie Mojito Madness and then layered on China Glaze Highlight of My Summer and Zoya Yana.  For the two kinds of seeds I used Essie Licorice and OPI My Vampire is Buff.

Watermelon French

Last up is my watermelon French mani.  For this look I started with one coat of a sheer tan color, OPI Glints of Glinda, and then layered on one coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust.  For the tips I started with Zoya Josie and then used Essie Absolutely Shore and Dior Riviera.  For the seeds I used Essie Licorice and a dotting tool.

And just for fun, this is what was going on outside while I was taking my outdoor photos.  Here is Immie, on a leash, roaming around in the driveway :)  I hope you enjoyed watermelon day, it was a lot of fun for me!

  2. All three are so perfect for summer! I love how you experimented with the watermelon look and even when its minimal like the french tip, its definitely clear that it's inspired by watermelon!

  8. How in the world do you have time to paint your nails like that every day? It's insane! You're so talented.

  9. These are both awesome watermelon manis! Awww your kitty is a cutie :) My previous cat used to go on a leash too, but would just lay in the sun. My current kitty wont have anything to do with it. The first time we put the harness on her for the leash she just froze and plopped over like she was paralyzed.
