China Glaze Sunsational Creams: 3 Colors

My Picks from the China Glaze Sunsational Collection

Hi everyone, welcome to Monday.  I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.  It's no mystery that I love a good cream.  Creams are my favorite genre of polish if you will and once I saw these I knew I wouldn't be able to pass them up.  I was very skeptical because of early reports of the horrible formula.  To be honest, for me, the formulas weren't spectacular but they weren't horrible either.  For me, the color was definitely worth it.  Let's take a look, shall we.

Highlight of my Summer

In addition to my love of creams, I also have a love of mint polish.  Mint is by far the most owned polish of mine so I couldn't pass up a pastel neon mint.  For starters, I am unsure how China Glaze got a pastel to also be a neon but this is it!  For this polish I used three thin coats for even coverage, topped with topcoat.

Too Yacht To Handle

This polish is a neon aqua blue that has a little bit of a green undertone to it.  It's hard to tell its neon quality in photos but you can really tell outside.  For the swatches I used one thin coat followed by one thick coat plus topcoat.  The second time I used this polish I used three thin coats.  Both ways created an opaque look.  Again, I really enjoyed the color on this one.

Bottoms Up

Last up is Bottoms Up, a cool toned Barbie pink.  I wouldn't call this polish a neon, but it was bright.  Like the polish above, I used one thin coat followed by one thick coat and topcoat.  This wasn't the most original color, but I don't own anything like it so it was a welcome addition.

Overall, the formulas weren't perfect on these but I think they were definitely worth it for the color.  I enjoyed all three colors that I picked up and I was very happy with them.  Did you pick up any polishes from the Sunsational collection?

  2. Highlight is my favorite so far from this collection. The formula when I wore it was less than stellar but the color more than made up for it.

  3. LOVE the top two. I want to do something like that on my next manicure.
