Sunday Swatch Time: China Glaze, Essie, OPI, Ciate, and Zoya

Hi everyone, happy Sunday.  I hope you all are having a great weekend.  Yesterday was crazy busy for me but it also was really fun.  My husband and I went to the movies to see Non-Stop (which was really good), we walked around the mall, cleaned our house, and then got together with our friends for card games.  Whew!  It was fun though.

Today I am bringing you some swatch spam :)  I have a bunch of swatches building up in my edited photos so it was time to clean that out!  Let's get started.

China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise

Turned Up Turquoise is a neon turquoise cream that dries matte.  I used two coats for this one.  The second photo shows this polish with a topcoat, which is the version I prefer.

Essie Watermelon

Essie Watermelon is a vibrant pinky red color, very punchy on the nail.  The formula is very good on this one and I needed two easy coats.  This is one of my favorite Essies, it's just really pretty.

OPI I Have a Herring Problem

This polish is from the 2012 Holland Collection and it's a dusty blue with gold shimmer.  I used two coats for this one.

Ciate Pepperminty

I'm in love with this polish.  I wore it this week and it's on my toes right now.  This polish is a pretty light robin's egg blue, blue/green minty polish.  I used three coats for this polish.

OPI Manicurist of Seville

This polish is one that I borrowed from my sister and I'm in love with it.  This polish is a berry red cream and I just love the color of it.  The formula was really good and I needed two coats.

OPI Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow

Another borrowed polish, this one is a deep blackened green.  I like the color on this one, but the formula was really bad.  I believe I needed three coats for this one.

Zoya Kelly

Last up is Zoya Kelly, which I picked up recently because my mom's name is Kelly.  I thought this would be a good transition polish from Winter to Spring.  This polish is a blue slate grey cream and it's a really beautiful color.  Great formula, two coats below.

That's all for now.  Have you tried any of these polishes?

  5. OMG I love Turned Up Turquoise, and I love it matte! Also I have OPI Here Today Aragon Tomorrow and the formula is fine. I only need two coats. So maybe that bottle was just a dud for some reason. It's a great color. And I have pic of me holding a little snake wearing it so it's perfect!!! Just started following you, love this blog. I too, discovered a love for girly things, especially nails, later in life. I'm an ex-cop lol.
