Hi guys, happy Sunday. If you follow you me on Instagram, you'll know that I took a vacation all this week with my husband and my in-laws at a lake house in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Last year we went for a long weekend, but this was the first time spending an entire week there. We stayed in a cabin owned in the husband's side of the family and it's directly on the lake. We were lacking sun and warm weather but we spent a nice week on the boat, tubing, swimming, and exploring Lake Geneva and some areas around Whitewater. I am back in full force now (with internet connection) and have lots of nail art coming up.
Today I have a healthy dose of OPI swatch spam, basically polishes I've worn recently and have never done formal swatches of.
First up is OPI Call Me Gwen-ever, which comes from the Spiderman collection. I found this polish randomly at a Target, which oddly enough is a place where I have found many different older OPIs. I usually check any Target I go to and some carry random polishes outside of the core range that all of the Targets have. Call Me Gwen-ever is a dusty orange which I consider to be a blood orange color. I think this is a perfect Fall color but I also enjoyed it as a Summer color as well. The formula was great on this one and I used two easy coats with topcoat below.
Next up is OPI Dating A Royal, which comes from the Brights Collection and also is a borrowed polish from my sister. This polish is a medium blue crelly and has a thinner formula that does lean to the sheer side. I enjoyed the color although it doesn't seem like a "Brights" color to me. I needed three coats with topcoat below. The second and third swatch photos are the more color accurate.
Next up is OPI San Tan-Tonio, which comes from the Texas Collection. This polish is a warm tan cream. I wanted this one to work on me, but I think it clashes with my cool toned skin. The formula was good on this one and I needed two coats with topcoat below.
Last up for swatch spam is OPI The Thrill of Brazil, which is part of the Classics Collection but was originally part of the 2002 South American Collection. I found this polish for half off at my local TJMaxx awhile back. This polish is a deep red cream and it has a candy apple tone to it if that makes sense. It's definitely deeper than your average red and these kinds of tones are the reds that I like to wear. The formula was perfect and I used two easy coats with topcoat below.
Do you own any of these polishes? I am really excited to be back and I have a full week of nail art coming up. I think a whole week of plain nails re energized my need for some fun nail art. I hope you guys are having a great weekend!
