Hi there guys, happy Hump Day. I did something a little naughty and took the rest of the week off, woo freedom! Today also happens to be my three year wedding anniversary. You can tell how romantic we both are by the fact that we picked out our own gifts and ordered them ourselves haha! Today is going to be pretty chill for me, I've got some grocery shopping to do and some videos to film. I'm okay with that :)
Today I have a polish I've been seeing around the blogging world and I couldn't help but pick it up when I saw it in Target. There is an array of colors in this collection but I limited myself to one because they do retail for 8 dollars each, which is pretty pricey for a drugstore polish.
Sally Hansen Minted Metal is a mint green chrome polish and I noticed a few different things about this polish. I didn't realize until I edited these photos that the bottle says to skip basecoat and topcoat. I tried to apply this over basecoat and it acted very strangely so I removed it. Without basecoat it applied like a dream. I could have used one coat but I ended up using two for photos. I did use topcoat and I didn't have any problems. It did make the polish cloudy but it dried just fine and shiny.
The biggest thing I noticed is that normally chromes chip lightning quick. However, this polish wore like iron. I wore it for a solid day to work and then home and I didn't have any chipping whatsoever. That was a big win in my book. I also thought the color was really cool....I mean, a mint green chrome....yes please.
I was really impressed with this polish and I'm debating getting one more, a purple one, just because it performed so well, better than my higher end chrome polishes. Do you plan on picking up any of the polishes from this collection?
