Zooey Deschanel Black and White Mani

Hi everyone, happy Sunday.  I hope your weekend is going well.  I got home last night from the field but I got to do some shopping yesterday with my Mom so that was really fun.  I got to pick some things out for my birthday and I think my best find was two donut shaped and themed pillows, both sides have sprinkles and there's a pink side and a chocolate side.  I also picked up two delicate rings from Pandora, some kitchen towels with macaroons on them, and some OPI polish.  I had a good time.

Today I have a mani recreation that I saw on Zooey Deschanel while browsing Pinterest.  You can see a picture of it below.  As you can see, it's a black and white checkered pattern with dots.  I decided it would be cool to give it a try.

To create this look I started with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.  I used striping tape to create alternating squares on each nail and used Essie Licorice for the black squares.  I finished off with dotting tools to create the dots, followed by a layer of topcoat.

I liked the final outcome of this mani.  Is this something you would wear?
