Zoya Naturel Collection: Swatches and Review

*Press Samples
Hi everyone, welcome to Thursday.  Surprisingly the Christmas party at work yesterday was pretty fun.  We ended up having to split up into separate tables and I think that made all the difference.  You can't really joke around about your job at the same table as all of the bosses and section head :/  All of the young people ended up in the conference room afterwards and ended up talking the rest of the day.  I thought that was pretty cool considering you can go for days without saying a word to anyone.

Today I have a collection that was highly anticipated by me, the Zoya Naturel Collection.  This collection is made up of 6 opaque creams with rosy undertones.  I love a beautiful opaque nude cream so I was really looking forward to this collection.  These polishes are also designed to work flawlessly with one another to create different nail art designs.

Chantal-

Chantal is the lightest of the polishes and it is described as a French vanilla cream.  The formula was great on this one, it was easily opaque in two coats.  I didn't use topcoat for any of my swatches.  I really liked this color but I think it clashes with my cool skin tone.

Taylor-

Taylor is very similar to Chantal but for me it's a tad bit darker and more on the cool side.  Taylor is described as a light toffee cream, but for me, I picture toffee as more brown than this.  I see Taylor as a really pretty beige nude.  This one was slightly on the thinner side so be careful about flooding the cuticles.  I used two easy coats below.  This one worked much better with my skin tone.

Rue-

Oh Rue...if you are a Hunger Games fan, you know what I'm talking about.  Rue is described as a boudoir blush cream.  I thought this color was pretty spot on to blush and for me it was slightly on the purple side of pink.  This is my favorite of the six colors and I used two easy coats below.

Brigitte-

Brigitte starts off the second, darker half of the collection and is described as a bombshell mauve cream.  I liked the color as well because to me it was a darker version of Rue.  It's really pretty and subtle and I liked that.  I used two easy coats below.

Normani-

Normani is described as a sable mauve cream and is the darkest of the six polishes (I know I went out of order)  :)  Normani leaned cooler on me than most of the other rosy tones.  This color seems very chic and sophisticated to me.  I used two easy coats below.

Odette-

Last but not least is Odette, which is described as a sultry orchid maroon cream.  I wouldn't personally describe this polish as maroon at all.  To me it's like a greyed out purple orchid color.  This color was one of my favorites as well.  I used two easy coats below.

Overall I was a little bit up in the air on this collection just because of the rosy tones in most of the polishes.  Since I have a cooler tone of skin I didn't think some of the polishes were very flattering, but maybe that was also because I'm extremely pale haha!  My picks from this collection are Taylor, Rue, and Odette.  I will say that this collection is perfect for someone looking for work appropriate polishes or someone that is just starting into polish and wants subtle colors.

This collection is available now and you can find it here.

*Polishes in this post were received in exchange for my honest opinion.
