Winstonia Brush Set: 2 Freehand Manis

Hi everyone, welcome to Thursday.  Please bear with me as I am still very much battling the stomach flu.  I'm not fishing for sympathy, just telling it like it is.  Today I have a review of a 5 piece nail art brush set from Winstonia.  Up until now, I didn't really have any fine detail brushes for nail art but these brushes really hit the mark.  Today I created two different manis to show off what these brushes can do.

First up is my Holiday Starburst mani.  For this look, I used one of the middle length fine detail brushes.  I started with Essie No Place Like Chrome and then used OPI First Date at the Golden Gate, Essie Wrapped in Rubies, OPI Keeping Suzi at Bay, and OPI Incognito in Sausalito for the "starbursts".  To get this look, I placed a dot of polish on a piece of cardboard and then ran the brush through it and painted it on the nail.  I finished off with dots in Butter London The Full Monty, with a dotting tool, and then one coat of OPI Matte topcoat.

Below is a look at the actual brushes.  These are the best quality brushes that I have right now.  They came in a plastic package with covers to prevent the tips from being bent.  The set includes four sizes of cylindrical head liner brushes and one striping brush.  The brushes are made of nylon and have wooden handles with the Winstonia logo.

The second mani I created was inspired by a dress that I saw on Pinterest from the Naeem Khan Spring 2014 line.  I liked the funky color combination and the free form lines so I wanted to re-create it.

For this look I used the following colors: Zoya Thandie, China Glaze Happy Go Lucky, OPI Muir Muir on the Wall, Essie Mint Candy Apple, Essie Playa del Platinum, and Essie Avenue Maintain.  I used the striping brush to create the entire look.

Overall I was really impressed with these brushes.  They worked very well for nail art and were a really high quality.  I will be using them a lot in the future.

These brushes retail for $5.95 for the set of 5 brushes and can be found directly from Winstonia here or on Amazon here.  From now until December 31st, you can use the code "PAINTTHOSEPIGGIES" to take 10% off this brush set.

*Product received in exchange for my honest review and opinion.
