Hi everyone, happy Tuesday. I think the best thing about Tuesday is that it isn't Monday :) Isn't that sad that that's all that's going on in my life? Haha! I actually am very excited because tomorrow I am getting a new iPad and I can't wait to set it up and play around with it. Today I have a special polish....my very first Lumina Lacquer. Lumina Lacquer actually holds the spot for my biggest lemming with Mint Chocolate Chip. I just love the look of it! I saw this polish come out and thought it was gorgeous so I decided to pick it up.
Dance in the Rain is a collaboration polish with Valesha of Peachy Polish. If you haven't seen her blog, I would definitely recommend it, her swatches are perfect :) Dance in the Rain is a combination of metallic and holographic glitters mixed in with matte pale grey glitters. I think the pale grey is what really makes this polish unique and special.
For my swatches I did one coat over OPI Teal the Cows Come Home which is a bright frosty blue. I didn't have any problems with the glitter or the application. I really love this polish because it's not a typical rainbow glitter combination, the addition of the grey really stands out and makes it special.
Overall I was very pleased with this polish. I can't wait to try it over a multitude of colors to see how it transforms with different polish bases. I think red is next on my list :) Have a great day everyone!

OPI Alcatraz Rocks: Swatch and Review
Hi everyone, happy Monday. Today I have a quick review as I will be heading out to a doctor's appointment soon. What a way to start the week right? I wasn't as productive as I had hoped this weekend, I think I need a vacation just to rest after my vacation. Does anyone else feel like that sometimes? Thankfully I had some posts already done and I managed to get at least a few swatches done yesterday. Coming up I will have some new stamping plates, my newest Julep box, and some newly released polishes.
Today I have OPI Alcatraz Rocks. I will admit I haven't completely jumped on the textured bandwagon. There are things I do like, like the better wearability, the cool colors, and the look of the glitter but the major thing I can't get over is having my nails feel like sandpaper and feeling like they get caught on everything. What is your opinion on textures?
Despite my feelings on textures, I knew that I wanted this polish. I have been waiting for my Ulta to get it....it finally took two months after the release but they got it, so I picked it up this weekend. This polish is a cross between a blue and a purple, in some lights it can lean either way. The shimmer in this polish is what sold me, it's insanely pretty. I see gold and pink shimmer in this polish.
The formula was really good on this one. I used two coats to make it opaque and thought the dry time was pretty quick. It was still dentable after some time but it felt dry to the touch within minutes. I wore this polish textured for a few hours and then decided to glitz it up to really show off those shimmers. I added two coats of Seche Vite topcoat on all the nails except my accent nail which is two coats of OPI Which is Witch? For once, this is the mani that I am actually wearing today :)
Did you pick this polish up? Which do you prefer, the glossy or the textured? I am very happy with this polish and am really glad that I could finally find it!

Sweet Heart Polish: Jordan's A Star
Hi everyone, happy Sunday! Today I will be on a swatch-fest and I have some really great polishes coming up. Today I have another polish that I won in a giveaway quite some time ago. I've tried Sweet Heart Polish once before when I got to name Mermaid's Magic, which was a stunning polish. Today I have a really pretty glitter topper, Jordan's A Star.
I wanted to create a close to monochromatic look so I started with a base of JulieG Peep Toe Pumps which is a plum color. Jordan's A Star is a mix of different square red glitters and red stars in a clear base. I had no problems with the formula and it was very easy to get the stars out.
I quite like the finished result and found this polish very easy to work with. I can't wait to try it over other colors as well. I really liked this polish paired with aqua which can be found here.

KKCenterHK 2mm Studs Review
*Press Sample
Hi everyone, happy Saturday! I'm finally back home after a seventeen hour drive home from Massachusetts yesterday. I find it funny how anticipated vacations are and then by the end, all I want to do is get back home to my kitties, my bed, and my normal routine. My posting schedule should be back to normal now :) Today I have some pretty cute studs that I was sent from KKCenterHK. These studs are metal pale pink studs in the 2mm size and they can be found here. I had no problems with these studs. They sat flat on the nail and were easy to work with. I created a simple look with China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle.
I was really happy with these studs and I would highly recommend them. They cost $4.73 for approximately 50 pieces and can be found here. With my coupon code below, you can also receive an additional 10% off. Have a great weekend everyone :)

Orly Fowl Play: Swatches and Review
Hi everyone. So I'm sure if you are a frequent follower of my blog you've noticed a weird posting schedule this last week. I've actually been on vacation, surprise! More specifically I'm in Massachusetts in the middle of the Berkshires. Tomorrow is our driving day home, 17 hours, so it's been a busy busy week for me. Luckily I've had enough time to get some posts done. Today I have another set of simple swatches of a polish that I recently picked up, Orly Fowl Play.
Orly Fowl Play is a dark purple polish with blue and orange flakies. I needed to use a gift card and I saw this one and immediately decided I needed it. This polish is my first real flakie polish and I really liked it. The formula was good and I only need two coats to reach opacity. This polish is different from anything I own and I'm happy to add it to my collection.
Do you own this polish? If so, what do you think of it?

Tawdry Terrier: Pawsome Pines and Poke-a-Nose Purple
Hi everyone, happy Hump Day! Today I have a new-to-me indie brand called Tawdry Terrier. I recently won my choice of two polishes in a giveaway and I ended up picking Pawsome Pines and Poke-a-Nose Purple. I love the name of the brand and how all of the polishes are named after dog themed things or dog puns, it's awesome. Both polishes are from the "Autumn in the Barkshires" collection. These polishes can be built up to full opacity with multiple coats or can be layered over another color, I chose to layer both.
Poke-A-Nose Purple:
This polish is described as a plum glass flecked polish with purple, red-violet, red, and orange glitter. This polish is perfect for fall because it incorporates so many fall colors but is also still very girly with the plum colored base. I used one coat of this polish over a plum colored polish by JulieG and finished with topcoat. I really loved the effect that this polish had, I've never seen anything like it!
Pawsome Pines:
This polish is described as a pine green glass fleck polish with heavy blue and green shimmer. I would say that is spot on. This polish has a really gorgeous color that is just like shimmery pine trees. I chose to layer one coat of this polish over OPI Jade is the New Black and finished with topcoat.
Overall I was quite impressed with both of these polishes. Both were unlike anything I've seen and are unique to my collection. I would highly recommend both of these!

OPI Rock Goddess Halloween mini set
Hi everyone, happy Tuesday. I am very much enjoying the fall weather, how about you? Today I have the Halloween mini polish set from OPI. I was sick of waiting for my local Ulta to get this set because they usually are weeks or months behind with bringing out new polish collections so I got it from Amazon. This set doesn't have the most original colors to those that have huge polish collections, but they were original colors for me.
Rolling Bones:
This polish is a grey shimmer that is medium toned and to me has golden shimmer. It is similar to On Her Majesty's Secret Service, which I picked up recently but haven't swatched on here yet, but this polish leans more warm and grey whereas OHMSS leans more blue and cool. The formula was a little sheer and required three coats for full coverage.
Stand In Lime For Days:
This polish is a bright lime chartreuse green that doesn't feel very Halloween to me, but could lean Halloween if paired with orange and purple. I used three coats for full coverage.
Yellopalooza:
This polish is a marigold yellow cream. It was pretty good for a yellow but did need three coats to even out everything.
The Drummer is Hot:
This polish is a red-orange cream. I normally wouldn't go for a polish like this but this one really seemed to go well with my skin tone. The formula was really good on this one, two coats for full opacity.
Overall I liked this collection. It didn't blow me away but I liked each of the colors because they were unique to anything I have. The set also comes with a skull bracelet which I haven't tried yet. As a little extra, I included a mani I used with all of these polishes for a guest post a few days ago. I used Candy Lacquer Zombielicious on my accent nail and the little dots with Essie The Girls Are Out.
