Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday. Yesterday was kind of a weird day for me because I spent all night the night before awake in bed so I woke up deliriously exhausted yesterday morning. That's definitely why my post was short on words yesterday! I'm not fully recovered yet, but this collection is so stunning that it deserves all the attention. Metallics normally aren't at the very top of my wishlist, but there is something about these rich fall colors and glowy shimmer/metallic quality that makes a fantastic combination. I preferred these colors over the creams because there were some unique polish colors that I've never seen before. Below is a sunlight shot of these pretties. To start off, I will again say that all of these polishes had a fantastic formula....and I wouldn't just say that if they didn't. For all of my swatches, I used no base or top coat and two coats of polish. All of the colors were smooth, easy to apply, and were very opaque. The only polish that I used one coat for was Maria Luisa, the gold topper.
Claudine:
Striking dark meteorite grey metallic. I think that's pretty spot on. I was really excited for this color...probably because Zoya used the word "meteorite" haha! I also am a big fan of grey and I thought this polish was edgy and very pretty.Mason:
Exciting red violet or "Fandango" pink metallic. I have to be honest, I'm not sure what "Fandango" pink is, but I thought this polish was definitely more on the purple side then pink. This polish really had a glowy quality to it.Channing:
Rusty or coppery red metallic. I think of this polish as "fall in a bottle". The coppery color reminded me of changing leaves and crisp fall air and I just love it! I will be sporting this color a bunch this fall. It is seriously stunning!Neve:
Sapphire blue metallic. Not much to report here. It's a pretty blue but nothing that is extraordinary. I am a blue polish lover but I definitely gravitated towards the other, more unique colors in this collection. I actually really want to compare this polish to Zoya Song and see how they are different, if anyone is interested, drop me a comment.Giovanna:
Stunning Emerald green metallic. Okay, deep breath.....this polish is freaking gorgeous. If you like green at all, you need this polish. This was my hands down favorite from all of the polishes in the fall collection. The color was so unique!Maria Louisa:
Gold Cellophane Accent Topper. For this gold topper I used one coat over Claudine. Gold isn't really my thing, so this polish was just okay for me. I will say that it spread really easily and I didn't have to place it at all. I think it looks better in the bottle then on the nail.So there you have it, the Satin collection. I actually think this is my favorite Zoya collection to date. I haven't been blogging long, but I am shocked to be typing that a metallic collection beat out the creams. The colors are just stunning. Which are your favorites?
You can find this collection on Zoya.com here. Polishes retail for $8 each.

Personally, their collections this fall are both sort of a dud for me because I don't like metallics at all and the creme collection feels very safe and generic in my opinion. Nonetheless, your swatches are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBummer! I really like metallics but I did think the creams were pretty plain.
DeleteThat last one is seriously fabulous. Why do I not see colors like this at the nail salons? It's OPI all day every day. Boring.

ReplyDeleteGiovanna is by far my favorite, it's just amazing!
DeleteI've got the collection, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. I'm just chomping at the bit to try all the gorgeous colors, especially after seeing your beautiful swatches. That teal! Ah, be still, my heart. :)
