Hi everyone, happy Hump Day. I am still home sick but I'm sure it's because my body just gave out after all of the stress of that project. I will be at home trying to recover today. Well, if you couldn't tell from yesterday's post, I really like OPI polish ;) So I think it's only fitting to show you an OPI collection today. I got a bunch of comments regarding my OPI wall rack and I showed them to my husband. I only got one specific request to show how to make it, but he said he would be willing to come up with some plans and a tutorial for it.
Today I have the much anticipated (at least from me), OPI Brazil collection. This collection consists of 12 polishes and a mini set of textured polishes. I have the 12 polishes, which include 11 creams and 1 shimmer, to show you today. I'll let you know what I think of the entire collection at the end. All swatch photos are with topcoat.
Amazon...Amazoff
This polish is a green-leaning medium teal. I've seen some other swatches with some faint shimmer but I didn't see any on the nail or in the bottle. The formula was fantastic on this one, I used two easy coats. This one does stain though. I used a base coat, wore it for a day, and removed the polish from each nail individual with a fresh cotton ball and it still stained. The color is stunning though.
Don't Bossa Nova Me Around
This polish is a pretty pink nude color. The formula was good and I used two coats below. I've been hearing a little bit of buzz about this being the new "My Vampire is Buff" from last year but I don't have that strong of feelings for it. It's still a pretty color though, I love an opaque nude.
Next Stop....The Bikini Zone
Next up is the only shimmer of the group, a purple/pewter grey duochrome. The formula was a bit sheer but it did build up in three coats. I didn't expect to like this one but surprisingly I do. The purple really stood out for me and I liked that.
Taupe-less Beach
This polish is the lighter of the two taupes and it's a very grey leaning taupe. I normally don't care for taupes but I really liked how grey this one was. I wore it matte for a day and thought it looked so chic. The formula was very buttery and smooth and perfect in two coats.
I Sao Paulo Over There
Here is the darker of the two taupes and it leans to a mushroom/grey-brown/purple color if that makes any sense. Another perfect formula, two coats below.
OPI Scores A Goal!
This polish is a purple red color that I would call raisin. I absolutely love this color on the nail, although I do see it more as a Fall color. Perfect formula, two coats.
Red Hot Rio
This polish is a cherry red crelly. The polish was on the sheer side and as you can see, there is still visible nail line after two coats. There was nothing wrong with this polish, it was just my least favorite because I don't care for the color.
I Just Can't Cope-acabana
Finally, a yellow polish with a good formula! It's true :) This polish is a sunny yellow cream. I think it's a nice halfway between a pastel and a neon, bright but not too bright. I am so happy with this polish. I used two easy coats. It wasn't streaky or anything, a good cream polish!
Where Did Suzi's Man-go?
This polish is a pretty mango melon-y color. Very pretty! Oranges have really grown on me over the past few months and I think they work really well with my fair skin tone. This polish was a tad bit streaky but it was self-leveling. I used two coats below.
Toucan Do It If You Try
This polish and the one below are very similar. This one is an orange-leaning coral, medium in color, and bright but not neon. Love, love, love this color! Again like the last one, the formula was a tad streaky but it did self-level. Two coats for this one.
Live.Love.Carnaval.
This polish is the more pink twin of the polish above. Live.Love.Carnaval is a pinky coral cream and it's my favorite from the entire collection. It really surprised me but it's one of those colors that keeps you staring at your nails all day long. I did need three coats to even this polish out.
Kiss Me I'm Brazilian
This polish is the perfect bright bubblegum pink, I love it! It was perfect in two coats.
Overall I am really happy with this collection. I am a cream polish lover though. I do wish they had done maybe a bright glitter or a few different finishes besides just creams. My favorites are Live.Love.Carnaval, Amazon...Amazoff, I Just Can't Cope-acabana, and Kiss Me I'm Brazilian. The only one I didn't care for was Red Hot Rio. Hi everyone, welcome to Tuesday. I am extremely happy to report that I finished my work project yesterday. It took me all day but I did it and I couldn't be more happy about it. I woke up this morning with a full blown cold so I'm hanging out at home today. Today's Twinsie prompt is to show our polish collection. I did a pretty short version of my polish collection because I've been so busy with work. Eventually I plan on doing a more in-depth version but this post does include my entire collection.
I had mixed feelings about this post. I hope that there isn't too much judgement from others. The bottom line is that my blog is my hobby and it is something that I love. I don't care for purses, clothes, makeup, bags, or shoes, so my polish is what I collect. Before the polish it was scrapbook paper so it's just how it is :)
First up is my favorite part of my collection, my wall rack. My husband built this rack last year. It still needs to be stained but that's a project for this year. This rack holds my OPI collection which has grown exponentially in the last few months. I've swapped away a ton of polishes I didn't care for, for OPIs in return. I like to organize my polishes by brand and then by color.
The rest of my collection is housed in one Helmer from Ikea. The first drawer is Zoya polishes.
The second drawer is the messieset but it houses my drugstore polish, random polish brands that only have a few, and extra nail art supplies and nail wraps. Some of the brands include Revlon, Milani, Orly, Hard Candy, Sally Hansen, L'oreal, and Wet N' Wild.
Drawer three is my Indie Drawer. Most of these polishes are from reviews and giveaways. I haven't really gotten into collecting Indies but my two favorite Indie brands are Candy Lacquer and Shimmer Polish. Some of the brands in this drawer are Candy Lacquer, Shimmer, The Nail Junkie, Daphine Polish, Spellbound Nails, Mentality, Philly Loves Lacquer, and others.
Second to last is my China Glaze, Essie, and Julep drawer. I've swapped away all of the extra polishes in this drawer so these are the ones I really like.
Last up is the drawer I'm a little embarrassed of. These are my overflow OPI polishes that I have swapped for and bought in blog sales. My husband is planning on building me a second OPI wall rack this Spring.
This last photo is a phone picture of polishes I plan on swatching soon. This pile is sitting in my living room and consists of both Essie Spring collections, OPI Brazil, a handful of new polishes, and a bunch of OPIs I borrowed from my sister.

Hi everyone, another quick post for me today. I will be frantically trying to finish my report today. That's pretty much all my life has been right now. Sorry! Today I have some nail art that I wore last week. I really liked it :) On Wednesday I'll have my swatches for the entire Brazil collection, yay!
To create this look I started with a base of OPI Next Stop The Bikini Zone. Using blue painter's tape I created the sections and painted on OPI Where Did Suzi's Man-go? and OPI Scores a Goal!

Hi everyone, just a quick post for me today. I got a good response from yesterday's post with the nails I wear on an everyday basis so I will continue that :) I'm doing better this morning but will still be working today. If you follow me on Instagram you know that I had a hair emergency that I was freaking out about, but now it's all been fixed. I toned my hair myself because it was SO gold yellow looking but now it's back to being cool toned. Whew!
Today I have another polish that is from my sister's collection. Think Merry! Pink Merry! is a color that I hadn't heard of but apparently it is a 2008 Ulta holiday exclusive. This polish isn't something I would normally be drawn to but I wore it for a day and absolutely loved it. The polish is a frosty cool-toned pink but it has these little sparks of silver that make it so unique. I think they are best seen in the second picture and in the bottle macro. The polish builds up with three coats.
I really liked this polish and I think it's really subtle and pretty.
